About Western Tarsier
These primates are very small, small enough to fit into a pocket. They have long tails, large fingers and toes, and very big eyes. The Western Tarsier feeds on insects. Its large eyes and keen hearing aid in the capture of its prey. It looks and listens for insects in the dark. When it spots a potential meal, it jumps through the air to catch its prey. It then uses its tiny teeth to chew up its meal. The Western Tarsier can leap up to 17 ft. (5m). It has a gestation period of about 6 months after which the female gives birth to a single baby.
