Vervet Monkey or Green Guenon

About Vervet Monkey or Green Guenon
The best feature to tell this monkey apart from others of the same breed is by the coloring in its face. Otherwise, the Vervet Monkeys all look alike. Their bodies are a gray-green color. They have black faces outlined with white fur. This animal is able to both run and climb trees quickly and easily as it searches for plant life to eat.

The Vervet Monkey, or Green Guenon, belongs to a family of about 25 different kinds of monkeys that live in Africa that are very closely related.

Monkeys that live in groups will spend a lot of time grooming each other. This is a way of showing friendship and, of course, it helps keep the monkeys clean.
