About
Musk Ox
Even though this ox looks like a buffalo it is more closely related to the mountain goat and chamois. It lives in the Arctic Tundra, where it is kept warm by a shaggy coat of long brown hair that during the winter can almost reach the ground. Musk Oxen live in herds of up to 100 animals and they are constantly on the move. If they are threatened the adults group together to form a ring, with their calfs hidden inside.
