About
Kirks Dik-dik
This miniature antelope lives in dry African scrub habitat that teems with predators. Although it looks very vulnerable, it is able to look after itself. Its large eyes and ears are always alert for danger, and if its alarmed it runs away with zig-zagging leaps, making it harder to catch. The females can only give birth to one young at a time but can breed twice a year.
