About Brazilian Skipper
The Brazilian Skipper is found in the neotropical region which includes South America, the West Indies, Central America and southern parts of the U.S. Its habitat is lowlands and its time of flight is daytime. As a caterpillar, the color is green with brown spots along its sides and a white line down the back. It has a very distinct orange and black head. As a butterfly, it is brown in color with a few large white spots on the forewings and three small white spots on each hindwing. The forewings are more pointed with the hindwings being more round in shape. The Brazilian Skipper has a large round body and head. The Brazilian Skipper mainly feeds on canna leaves, which is a tropical flowering plant.
